Following up on our original AutoPilot announcement, we’re pleased to announce that we have just released a development snapshot of AutoPilot on drupal.org.

Internet security is like urinating to windward. No matter what we do, we’re never going to stop users from using a certain web browser, a certain mail client, a certain operating system, and opening every .exe or suspicious file that gets sent to them. That shouldn’t stop our efforts, though. If there’s one thing the Internet needs, it’s more security. read more »
We’re working to package up Drupal as a standalone Drupal installation that’s turn key on a virtual server. We already do something similar for our hosted services (we run dozens of servers full of Drupal XEN-based VPS on our infrastructure).
What we’re thinking about doing is providing a speed optimized image on XEN. VMWare and Parallels ports can be provided if people want it. That’s the purpose of this post.
Also, we plan on providing it on CentOS. But I know Ubuntu and Debian - again if there is demand. read more »
